Sun Yat-sen was born on November 12, 1866 at Cuiheng Village of Guangdong province. He was the forerunner of China's revolution against the Qing government.
Chen Family Ancestral Temple
This ancestral temple was built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing dynasty, and is the largest, best preserved, and best decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province. It was built with donations of the Chen family then spread in 72 counties in Guangdong province. The temple used to provide lodgings for candidates of the Chen family who came to Guangdong to prepare for imperial examinations in Guangzhou.
Temple of Six Banyan Trees
Situated on Liurong Road, this world famous ancient Buddhist temple was built in 537 in the Liang dynasty during the Southern dynasties (386-581). More than 1460 years ago in the Liang dynasty, Emperor Liangwu ordered the master priest, Tanyu to built Baozhuangyan Temple to store the Buddhist bones brought from Kampuchea. Guangzhou / Guilin
Transfer via: by air (9:35—10:30)

Program: Upon arrival in the airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel, Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave.

Elephant Trunk Hill: It is located on the west bank of the Li River by a small branch called Peach blossom River, and resembles a huge elephant standing on the bank of the river, sucking up water with its long trunk. The trunk is particularly striking and lifelike when viewed either nearby or afar. A circular foot cave called Shui Yue Dong (Moon-In-the Water Cave) separates the trunk and the body. A 3-story Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A.D) brick pagoda rises from the top of hill.

Reed Flute Cave: Aside ten minutes drive (half hour bike ride) from downtown, the cave is one of the largest known examples of what each tropical karst cone conceals within it. The script writers and set designers for Star Trek would have a field day in this cavernous underground stalactite/stalagmite maze-style theater. The dropping water is rich and the dripstones are not only in various types but also in big size, displaying a wonderful cave world. This cave was called "The Art Gallery of Mother Nature". Colored fluorescent lights which cast shadows and illuminate shapes of imaginary animals, fruits and vegetables complete the unworldly effect.
