famous for its silk, with the finest mudmee silk produced at the town

flights from Bangkok, a daily
train service and buses from all
parts of the country.

Khon Kaen is mainly highlands,
sloping gently down towards the
east, 100-200 metres above sea
level. Mountainous in the west.
