      Samt Pra
Phang Nga is the province of startling scenery, where limestone
mountains rise around the town like a wall, and rock towers and
islands soar out of Phang Nga Bay like fingers in the air. Once seen
they are never forgotten, and continue to attract tourists in droves. The
water has also hollowed out many caves throughout the bay, and sea
canoes can be hired for great adventures exploring these formations.
Phang Nga is also the starting point to visit some of the best dive sites
and coral beds in the region at the Similan and Surin Island National
Parks, unspoilt beaches and underwater of vast beauty.

Location & Access

Located on the west coast facing
the Andaman Sea, 788 kms south
of Bangkok. The province is 90
kms north of Phuket international
airport, which has numerous daily
flights from Bangkok. It's a
two-hour journey by bus from
Phuket.

Geography
On the west coast of the
peninsula, facing the Andaman
Sea and seemingly holding up
Phuket Island, Phang Nga is a
mountainous province with very
few flat plains. The limestone
peaks and formations continue
into Phang Nga Bay, resulting in a
variety of surreal "islands"
sticking out of the water.
