Linked to Krabi, Trang is beginning to catch some of its adventurous
tourists, who find the quiet, pretty islands offshore attractive places to
visit, such as Muk, Kradan and Ngai islands. Like Phuket, Trang was
founded by Chinese, and was once an important seaport. Today its
Chinese influence can be seen in the temples and the annual vegetarian
festival. The province is famed for its coffee, and as a major rubber
and palm oil producer. |
